The dresses have all been finished and shipped! But I'll be keeping busy with other projects over the next month. By the middle of May, I'll have costumes completed for the dance studio (Fusion Dance) Illustration performance, and I'm hoping to start work on a recycled denim backpack. And speaking of wedding season, there may be a new dress in the works for myself, for a wedding I'll be attending late in May, loosely based on the pattern I used for these bridesmaid dresses (although in a much more casual material).
Unfortunately, I don't have any process photos for the bridesmaid dresses. But here they are! I love the line and flow of the pattern - it's all in the subtle details.

I think it's official, wedding season is here! For the last couple of months, I've been working on a set of lovely coral bridesmaid dresses for a wedding later in May. (A post on those will be coming soon!) But most recently, I've finished the flower girl dress for this same wedding - a simple, ivory satin dress with a sash to coordinate with the rest of the wedding party. What fun! I used a basic girl's pattern that I fit to more exact measurements, with a few small changes - a layer of tulle in between the lining and satin for a little more shape, and loop closures for the buttons rather than button holes. Here's the finished product! Stay tuned for bridesmaid dress pictures!
